Platform-Building Campaign
I've spent a lot of time working on marketing and networking over the last few days, after dabbling in it since April when I started this blog and overcame my fear of twitter. It was easy to "network" and make writerly friends when I was younger and in writing programs, but since grad school I've sort of been on my own. Even though I'm a member of the Loft and SCBWI, I've found that I don't get quality "face time" with other writers as much as I'd like. I'm changing that, but I also want to become more involved in the vast community of writers Out There. You know, on the internet.
Tonight I learned of a Platform-Building Campaign run by Rachael Harrie of Rach Writes. A way to make connections, to work on building my online platform, and help others do the same. Sounds like a win-win to me!
