WHAT I’M READING
The same books that were on my list last week, plus a new one for the YA Buccaneers Reading Mutiny Challenge: LIFE IN OUTER SPACE by Melissa Keil. It’s laugh-out-loud funny.

WHAT I’M WRITING
I’m happy to report that yes, I am writing again. I’ve just begun a new round of revisions on the novel formerly known as WAITING FOR THE SUN. It has a new title and…

WHAT ELSE I’VE BEEN UP TO
…I signed with a new agent!

In mid-September, my former agent and I parted ways when she accepted a position in a different industry. This news wasn’t something I made public, so I quietly and determinedly began querying again. I reached out to a few trusted writer friends for advice and support; for your endless cheerleading and encouragement, I thank you – and you know who you are.

I queried, I continued with my new WIP (KEYS), I kept myself busy with the million other things I do. Yes, there were days when I felt like that moldy piece of cheese on the playground at Greg Heffley’s school, but I persevered. I kept moving forward. I knew that someday soon, I would be able to enjoy that pint of Ben & Jerry’s in the freezer. Keep moving forward. That’s just what you gotta do.

Sohappy day! – I’m very excited to announce that I am represented by Steven Chudney of The Chudney Agency, and truly, I couldn't be more pleased at how it's all turned out!

WHAT INSPIRES ME RIGHT NOW

Oh, this long and winding road. I've had this dream to be an "author of books" since a very young age - I even put it in my third grade autobiography. That hasn't changed and it will not, no matter how long it takes or what minor detours I encounter along the way. Thankfully I've had a lot of support from family, friends, and other writers on their own long and winding roads. I wouldn't be here without all of you and I am forever grateful.

What's up with you this fine week?
