WHAT I'M READING:
I've been reading a lot lately (recap of my Top Ten Reads of 2014 can be found here) and this past week I picked up THE RAVEN BOYS and THE DREAM THIEVES by Maggie Stiefvater at the library. I hadn't been super interested in these books because I wasn't a fan of SHIVER, but I decided to see what all the fuss was about. Gansey, Gansey, Gansey - it's all I've been hearing for the last couple of years.

Well, yes, Gansey. I loved THE RAVEN BOYS and I'm enjoying THE DREAM THIEVES so far. In fact, I'd like to be reading it right now.

WHAT I'M WRITING:
The last couple of months have been very productive on the writing front. I got notes back from CPs and readers on KEYS this past weekend. I printed that sucker and mailed it off to my agent yesterday. I'm also working on a revision of BEAUTIFUL BIRD, SING ON, my NaNo book from 2012, and I love it. I'm happy to be back in Addie's world.

WHAT WORKS FOR ME:
Giving myself a break. I've been working pretty steadily for the last three months; even though I've had some health issues, I've been writing almost every day. However, once in a while I'll take the night off and do something fun with my kids and/or husband, do some life maintenance, or go to bed early and read.

WHAT ELSE IS NEW:
Winter. Using my SAD light, trying not to be so dang tired. Going going going like a maniac until I crash and sleep for 10 hours. Work - we're incredibly busy, which is unusual for this time of year. Christmas stuff with the kids - we saw Santa on Sunday and they had their Christmas program at church. Birdy donated her hair to Locks of Love on Saturday and immediately reported that she's growing it out to donate again. Mine will go in February.

What's up with you? How are you surviving the winter where you are?
