RTW: Best Book of September
Road Trip Wednesday is a ‘Blog Carnival,’ where YA Highway's
contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question to write
about on our own blogs. You can hop from destination to destination
and get everybody's unique take on the topic.
This week's topic: What was the best book you read in September?

I read some so-so books this month. I read some great books this month, and I read some absolutely fantastic, amazing, unbelievable books this month.
My two favorites in September were THE UNBECOMING OF MARA DYER and PUSHING THE LIMITS - and because it's a rich, emotional, compelling contemporary read, I chose PUSHING THE LIMITS as the Best Read of September.
From goodreads:
No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.
Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.
I wish I had more time to write about all the things I loved about this book, but I should be writing (remember, I'm supposed to be in my writing cave).
What was YOUR best read of September? I promise I'll come back to check on your blogs soon!
