Monday Motivation: NaNo Love List

Hello, NaNoTude friends!

We're a few days into National Novel Writing Month and I'm happy to report that things are going well with this new manuscript (but not so much with housework and laundry.  Oh well.)  The difference between this year and my previous two NaNos has been amazing.  I have not "plotted" and I'm writing by the seat of my pants, but to have a general idea of what's going on and most importantly, how it ends -- wow.

The manuscript is at about 11,000 words and there's already so much I love about it.  In fact, I already love it so much, I'm going to create a love list RIGHT NOW:

BEAUTIFUL BIRD, SING ON
Old pianos
Vintage clothing
Antique stores
Photographs
Movies from the 1940s
Cary Grant
Katharine Hepburn
1979 penny (extra points if you know what movie that's a nod to)
Navy pea coats
Long-time crushes
Logic and imagination
8-track tapes
Moments of clarity

Today why not write a love list for your current WiP, whether you're participating in NaNo or not?  Sometimes all it takes is a little reminder like this for us to fall in love with our works and our characters all over again.

How's your NaNoTude this week?
